Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a full time motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Project Engineer Intern. This internship opportunity provides valuable hands-on experience in the field of construction project engineering. The Project Engineer Intern will support our project team with various tasks related to project planning, execution, and coordination. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional development and learning under the guidance of experienced engineers and project managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist project engineers and project managers with project planning, scheduling, and coordination activities.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and technical documents to gain an understanding of project requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including plans, schedules, reports, and correspondence.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
  • Assist in the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services required for project execution.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and resolve technical issues and challenges encountered during project execution.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical calculations, analysis, and reports as needed.
  • Participate in project meetings, coordination sessions, and client interactions as appropriate.
  • Support the implementation of project quality assurance and quality control processes.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by project managers and supervisors.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in civil engineering, construction engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong academic record with a demonstrated interest in construction project management and engineering.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
  • Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes preferred.
  • Previous internship or work experience in construction or engineering is a plus but not required.
  • Availability to work part-time or full-time during the internship period.
