Job Summary:

We are seeking a full time skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Project Engineer. The Project Engineer will be responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with project managers and other team members.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and technical documents to understand project requirements and identify engineering challenges.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure that design requirements are met, and engineering standards are maintained.
  • Assist in the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services required for project execution.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, identify potential issues, and ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
  • Analyze engineering data, perform calculations, and prepare technical reports and documentation as needed.
  • Assist in the resolution of technical issues and challenges encountered during project execution.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and implement value engineering opportunities and cost-saving measures.
  • Communicate project updates, milestones, and challenges to project stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
  • Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction engineering, or related field.
  • Previous experience as a project engineer or similar role in the construction industry preferred.
  • Proficiency in engineering software and tools, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
