Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a full time motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Project Engineer Intern. This internship opportunity provides valuable hands-on experience in the field of construction project engineering. The Project Engineer Intern will support our project team with various tasks related to project planning, execution, and coordination. Responsibilities:
- Assist project engineers and project managers with project planning, scheduling, and coordination activities.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and technical documents to gain an understanding of project requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including plans, schedules, reports, and correspondence.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Assist in the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services required for project execution.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify and resolve technical issues and challenges encountered during project execution.
- Assist in the preparation of technical calculations, analysis, and reports as needed.
- Participate in project meetings, coordination sessions, and client interactions as appropriate.
- Support the implementation of project quality assurance and quality control processes.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by project managers and supervisors.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in civil engineering, construction engineering, or a related field.
- Strong academic record with a demonstrated interest in construction project management and engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
- Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes preferred.
- Previous internship or work experience in construction or engineering is a plus but not required.
- Availability to work part-time or full-time during the internship period.
