CITY OF ST. LOUIS – CHAIN OF ROCKS AND HOWARD BEND WATER TREATMENT PLANT CHLORINE HANDLING IMPROVEMENTS

KWAME delivered staff augmentation services in support of the improvement of chlorine handling facilities at two of the City of St. Louis’ water treatment facilities.

KWAME performed initial project planning activities for use by the city in soliciting bids for, and accomplishing construction of the chlorine handling systems at these facilities. KWAME prepared an engineer’s estimate of cost to construct, as well as developed administrative procedures for use during construction – such as shop drawing control and accomplishing field changes.

Work at the Chain of Rocks and Howard Bend facilities involved both an improved chlorine railroad tank car unloading station and a relocated and improved chlorine feed control area.
