Job Summary:
We are seeking a full time diligent and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Project Inspector. The Project Inspector will be responsible for conducting inspections, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and regulations, and maintaining quality standards throughout the construction process. This position requires strong attention to detail, technical expertise, and effective communication skills to collaborate with project teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Perform on-site inspections to verify compliance with project plans, specifications, and applicable codes and regulations.
- Monitor construction activities, including excavation, foundation, framing, electrical, plumbing, and finishing work, to ensure adherence to approved plans and quality standards.
- Identify and document deviations from project requirements, deficiencies, and non-compliance issues, and communicate findings to project managers, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to verify accuracy and completeness.
- Conduct inspections at various stages of construction, including pre-construction, foundation, framing, rough-in, and final inspections.
- Coordinate and schedule inspections with contractors, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to facilitate project progress and compliance.
- Document inspection results, observations, and corrective actions using digital reporting tools and software.
- Provide guidance and technical assistance to project teams and subcontractors regarding code compliance, quality standards, and best practices.
- Participate in project meetings, site visits, and walkthroughs to address inspection-related issues and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and regulatory agencies to ensure project quality, safety, and compliance objectives are met.
Requirements:
- An associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a construction inspector or related role in the construction industry.
- Certification as a building inspector, construction inspector, or similar credential preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of construction methods, materials, codes, and regulations.
- Familiarity with construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using digital reporting tools and software for documentation and reporting.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
