ST. LOUIS, MO: Jasminn Jones of Florissant, MO has joined Kwame Building Group, Inc. (KWAME) as project engineer. She is responsible for managing submittals on the firm’s $450 million SSM St. Louis University Hospital project. She also ensures contract compliance, prepares project status reports and assists project management personnel.
ST. LOUIS, MO – Students from Carnahan High School who maintained perfect attendance from January 28 to March 1 were awarded with a $100 bill thanks to a donation from Tony Thompson, president of Kwame Building Group and The Kwame Foundation. In total, $8,900 was awarded to 89 students. The incentive program was initiated because attendance is the number one priority for Carnahan High School and the Saint Louis Public School District. During the winter, overall attendance at Carnahan High School decreased 1.5 percent. During the attendance competition, attendance rose each week and led to an overall increase of 2 percent.
Kwame Building Group Project Technician, Johnathan Rodgers, was one of 35 students to graduate from the Southern Illinois University (SIUE) Construction Leadership Institute (CLI) on Friday, March 8.

Piggy-backing on a smaller scale cleanup initiative in north St. Louis last year, community leaders gathered Tuesday at the Better Family Life Cultural, Educational and Business Center in the Hamilton Heights neighborhood to kick off an expanded program.
Better Family Life and the Regional Business Council announced plans for four cleanup events, dubbed Clean Sweeps, in several blighted neighborhoods in north St. Louis: Hamilton Heights/Wells-Goodfellow, Jeff Vander Lou, Penrose/Kingsbury and Walnut Park.
