As part of the $1.06 Billion Airport Expansion Program at Lambert-Saint Louis International, KWAME managed the construction on the New West Aircraft Rescue & Fire Fighting building. The construction of the new runway required the construction of a new West ARFF building in order to comply with the response times required by the Federal Aviation Regulations, Part 139, for an Index D airport.

The ARFF station houses the personnel, vehicles and equipment used to handle emergencies on the runways, taxiways, ramps, roadways and turf areas of the airport. In addition, it provides protection for the terminal and all other remaining airport property.
