CORTEX CIC@CET

KWAME served as Owner’s Representative for a $5 million Cortex Innovation Community (CIC) renovation project at the Center for Emerging Technologies (CET) in St. Louis, which was rebranded as CIC@CET.

CIC@CET’s two historic buildings, built in 1907 and totaling 87,000 square feet, were renovated and expanded numerous times. This renovation created a dynamic and vibrant space to meet the changing needs of entrepreneurs developing innovative advanced technologies.

Phase I included renovations to 7,500 square feet of space on the first floor of the historic Dorris Motor Car building, creating a new entry, co-working space and a game room. Subsequent phases added new office spaces on the second floor of the Dorris Building, and upgrades to both buildings.

KWAME provided project development consulting, scheduling, construction budget, contract preparation and coordination, construction planning, project and cost controls, inspections, recordkeeping and other services as the owner’s representative.
