CITY OF ST. LOUIS – JUSTICE CENTER
For the first time in nearly 100 years, the City of Saint Louis has a cutting-edge correctional facility. The 280,000-sq. ft. Saint Louis City Justice Center houses 732 rated detention beds, and Intake Processing Center, transfer area to hold and stage prisoners, and support services.
The facility was designed to provide a safe, secure environment. Direct supervision methodology allows correctional officers to supervise inmates from within a pod, proven to reduce tensions and potential damage to the facility.
KWAME provided full design and construction management services on behalf of the City – including management of the designer and design process, management of the bid process, and inspection services, field representation, pay application approval and document controls for the construction of the $80 Million project.
