CITY OF ST. LOUIS – O’FALLON PARK RECREATION COMPLEX
KWAME was construction manager for the new, $23 million O’Fallon Park Recreation Complex in North St. Louis City.
The state-of-the-art 79,000-square-foot complex features a full indoor aquatic center with a splash pool, lazy river, vortex pool, children’s pools and a rock climbing wall above the water; an outdoor lap pool; and a sauna, steam room and spa. Other amenities include a double gymnasium with lockers, a fitness center, an indoor running track, and a community center with a senior center, teen lounge and multipurpose community rooms.
The striking glass entrance to the recreation complex offers a view of the pool areas and common space, and opens to an expansive circular light well in the lobby. A dining room serves the pool areas and the multipurpose rooms. The complex incorporates numerous environmentally friendly and sustainable features, and was designed to achieve LEED Silver certification.
The City of St. Louis contracted KWAME as construction manager, assisting the St. Louis Board of Public Service in managing all aspects of the project.
