ST. LOUIS, MO – The East St. Louis Housing Authority (ESLHA) has signed a two-year contract with Kwame Building Group (KWAME) to provide construction administration services on various public housing renovation projects.“KWAME provided technical assistance on Phase I of our Villa Griffin Homes project and saved the ESLHA nearly $55,000,” said ESLHA Modernization Manager Patricia Wright. “Zachary Hamilton of KWAME is my go-to guy for managing our renovation projects.”

KWAME assists the ESLHA in developing scope of work, estimating, scheduling, inspections, quality control, and punch lists. KWAME is the construction administrator on Phase II of the Villa Griffin townhouse renovation, which includes 22 of the 64 units. Other projects include a new boiler system for the Lansdowne Towers apartments, a wastewater pump station repair and renovations of several single-family homes.

The East St. Louis Housing Authority (ESLHA) provides approximately 2,000 units of public housing to low-income families, the elderly and people with disabilities. The ESLHA owns and operates nine family developments, six high-rise apartment buildings, and various single family detached homes throughout the City of East St. Louis.
